The University of Northern Washington is a business college which focuses on preparing graduates for a career in business administration. A visionary school, UNW was pleased to be among the first to begin offering Distance Learning opportunities to mature students and professionals.



UNW is strictly an academic university intended for the mature student and therefore does not offer athletic programs. Our intensive, fast-paced degree programs are best suited to the professional already working in the field of study. However, serious and dedicated undergraduate students will find UNW a valuable learning institute to fast-track their degree studies.



Admission requirements in general education and major subject knowledge are similar to those of other ivy-league colleges and universities. Transfer credits, course challenges, seminars, work-related training, and directed study programs are the usual criteria for evaluations and awarding degree credit. In addition to recognizing prior learning, we encourage a fresh approach to traditional subject matter, and we maintain a flexible schedule to facilitate the education process.
