University of Northern Washington TERMINATION OF AFFILIATIONLINCOLN INSTITUTE OF KARACHI, PAKISTAN
During 1998, the University of Northern Washington investigated evidence of wrong-doing at the Lincoln Institute and discovered that the Lincoln Institute fraudulently misreported to UNW the number of students at its Karachi campus, failed to advise the University regarding the academic progress of its students, failed to forward to the University copies of student evaluations, transcripts and term papers as per the affiliation agreement and ignored repeated requests for same, failed to forward hundreds of thousands of dollars in affiliation fees, printed fraudulent degrees purporting to come from the University of Northern Washington, and sold for $500 each fraudulent student identity cards purporting to come from the University (the University of Northern Washington provides photo identity student cards to all its international students at no charge). On February 4, 1999 the University levied a punitive fine against the Lincoln Institute, placing it under suspension and demanding that the above charges be remedied by February 20, 1999 under threat of cancellation. The University received email and telephone messages from Almas Ferozali justifying the position of Lincoln Institute and desiring a quiet settlement of this dispute, however no steps were taken to rectify the aforementioned problems and this affiliation is herewith permanently cancelled. The public is also cautioned that Syed Nadeem Ahmed, Director of Noor College of Professional Education was terminated as a representative of UNW on July 31, 1998. The University of Northern Washington is not in any way affiliated or associated with Syed Nadeem Ahmed, Director, Noor College of Professional Education. Students registered at the Lincoln Institute are advised to contact the University of Northern Washington directly to verify their status with the University. As of this date, the University of Northern Washington has not graduated any students from the Lincoln Institute. There are no graduates of the University of Northern Washington currently residing or domiciled in Pakistan. No organization or individual is currently authorized to conduct any
courses, award any course credit, confer any degrees or conduct any other activities in
Pakistan in the name of University of Northern Washington. Questions should be referred to:
